Mr Kershaw saw Mr Aly Aziz yesterday, has minuted as follows:
"Mr Aly Aziz (papers attached) is very upset that the Department of Trade and Industry have spoken "bad things" about him in Hong Kong and prejudiced his position.
As you know, Aly Aziz is the Aga Khan's front man, and though he has a very un Anglo-Saxon appearance, I have no reason to believe him dishonest."
