SYNTHETIC DRUGS
(21) On 7th March, 1973, officers of the Narcotics Bureau executed a warrant under the Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance at the Yau Ming Medicine Company at 5C, Kings Street, Ground Floor, Wan Chai. After a search, a large quantity of Part I Poisons and Antibiotics were seized from a rear storeroom. A man, Poon Sui-wing (3382/1421/2837), the owner of the medicine company, was arrested and charged with Possession of Part I Poisons and Possession of Antibiotics. He was convicted and fined a total of $1,200.00-HK.

(22) On 22nd March, 1973, officers of the Narcotics Bureau executed a warrant under the Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance at the Tak Sang Medicine Company at 520, Lockhart Road, Ground Floor, Wan Chai. A search was made and a quantity of Part I Poisons and Antibiotics were seized. One man, CHAK Tak-shum (5049/1795/2773) the owner of the medicine company, was arrested. A second raid was then made at CHAK's residence at 518, Lockhart Road, 2nd Floor, where another quantity of Part I Poisons and Antibiotics were seized. CHAK was charged with two counts of Possession of Part I Poisons and two counts of Possession of Antibiotics. He was convicted and fined a total of $5,600.00-HK.
