short bursts (which suggests the desirability of having a number of dogs trained for the purpose), there is no difficulty in using them in very hot or very humid clinates. In view of the availability of your own experts on this subject, you will probably not wish to pursue it further with our people here but they have offered to give any advice or assistance either in training of handlers or in the provision of dogs or of experts which you might require.
I hope that this information will be of use to you. I appreciate that some of it is not very substantial and, may, on examination, prove to be impracticable. Nonetheless it seems to me to be better to look at the ideas and test then rather than to have no ideas at all. If you wish to follow up any of the offers
of further expert advice, you will no doubt be in touch with me.
I look forward to seeing you in October when I come out with the United Nations Ad Hoc Committee. We night find the opportunity to discuss this and other matters in more detail at that time. I hope that you will pass my regards to all those whom I met on my visit in June, in particular to John Rumbelow and Mike Morgan,
Yours sincerely
