Dear Sir Alec,
REF.
300
Further to our recent meeting and in view of recent events I wonder if you are now in a postion to say whether
it is the Government's intention to amend the
Fugitive Offenders' Act (1967) and what proposals, following your meeting with the Governor of Hongkong you are making on the Godber case?
Are you taking up my proposals to request that Scotland Yard be sent to the colony to assist in the case?
I am deliberately at at this stage, putting the matter before the House of Commons as I would like you to have the opportunity of sorting it out.
Yours sincerely,
Tom Terly
