CORRUPTION IN HONG KONG

The Hon Member referred to the problem of corruption

in Hong Kong. As Hon Members may know, the Governor of

Hong Kong recently appointed Sir Alastair Blair-Kerr, a

judge of the High Court, to investigate the departure of

Mopore Sundde measur a senior policeman from the colony and to make a report.

The policeman, Chief Superintendent Godber, was under

active investigation for an offence against the Hong Kong

Prevention of Bribery Ordinance. Sir Alastair has now

submitted two reports which have been published. His As a result

This problem certainly exists. But it should not be
