PARLIAMENTARY JUESTION BY MR JAMES JOHNSON MP
1. Mr James Johnson will ask the Secretary of State on
Wednesday, 7 November, what request he has received relating
to the extradition of Mr Godber.
2.
We consulted the Governor about the draft reply. He
has proposed an amendment to make it clear that the Hong Kong
Government had not been inactive or indifferent in the matter
of the extradition of Godber.
Additional points which the
Governor has asked us to stress have also been incorporated
into the Notes for Supplementaries.
3. I submit a draft reply, Notes for Supplementaries and
confidential background note.
4.
Parliamentary Office have asked to receive this reply by
noon on Monday, 5 November.
