UK HELP FOR THE ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION IN HONG KONG
1. I have discussed with Mr Guest the attached minute and letter
from Sir John Tilney. It appears that Sir John wants to be able
to say publicly that the UK police are helping the new Unit.
There is no reason why he should not do so, since the Governor
has already announced it in his speech. But it might be better
to wait until an officer is actually appointed.
2.
I submit a draft letter accordingly.
