Section 5(2):-

"5(2)
if the Governor, after considering the advice of the Public Services Commission, is satisfied that an officer has been guilty of negligence, irregularity or misconduct, he may reduce or altogether withhold the pension, gratuity or other allowance payable to that officer under this Ordinance.

"7.
Where an officer's service is terminated on the ground that, having regard to the conditions of the public service, the usefulness of the officer thereto and all the other circumstances of the case, such termination is desirable in the public interest, and a pension, gratuity or other allowance cannot other- wise be granted to him under the provisions of this Ordinance, the Governor may, if he thinks fit, grant such pension, gratuity or other allowance as he thinks just and proper

(1) The normal age of retirement of an officer, other than a judge, holding a pensionable office shall be on attaining the age of 55 years
(2)
the Governor may
(a) after considering the advice of the Public
Services Commission; and
(b) in the case of an officer whose appointment
was with the approval of the Secretary of State, subject to the approval of the Secretary of State,
require an officer, other than a judge, holding a pensionable office to retire from the service of the Colony at any time after he attains the age of 45 years.
