Dear Mr Macoun
Thank you for joining me for lunch last week. I very much enjoyed our conversation. After we met I learned that the Hongkong Federation of Students had planned a rally for last Sunday and, unable to contact you, I contacted Mr Andrew Stuart, who I had the pleasure to meet last Friday.
I have a reply from Mr Charles Sutcliffe and my further letter to him I am enclosing a c of here. I am also enclosing a a copy of a letter I have
in reply to one from the HKFS and I trust you will mainta. its confidentiality. Mr Stuart may also find it informative.
Upon your return on 10th September I hope we will be able to meet again to review the situation. Just about that time the Blair-Kerr 2nd Report should be out and I hope I can through you reserve an early copy! Many thanks.
Yours sincerely
