I can assure you that the Police Force is vigorously pursuing enquiries as to how Mr. Godber acquired his pecuniary resources and with a view to establishing whether there is evidence of an offence for which his return from the United Kingdom can be sought.
On a point of detail, I would add that it is not correct that any money was found in Mr. Godber's car on 4th June.
In conclusion, I wish to emphasize that the Government is determined to pursue investigations into possible cases of corruption at whatever level they
occur.
