We have taken
We beg you to direct immediate investigation into serious malpractices in the Colonial Government of Hong Kong regarding activities of several civil servants as follows:-

1. A Chief Superintendent of Police
suspected of corruption escaped
miraculously' while under close surveillance.
2.
a Government Architect
of the Arch. Off., Public Works Dept., in collaboration with
ACS 2/2
a Senior Architect in the same office, with the help of
senior Clerk-of-Works, involved and covered up many defaults of several contractors for many large housing contracts in return of huge considerations; incidents incl. the collapse of partition walling and inadequate roofing etc.
3. Clerk-of-Works for the new project of
the construction of Lai Chi Kok Hospital, a multi-million dollars contract, is in corruption, a new Mercedes to start with.
There are numerous other funny incidents of a
less obvious nature, and we certainly hope that such 'Watergate' of Hong Kong will receive a little bit more attention from the mother authorities.
