I am not at this stage sending to you the papers which we have containing the record of the trial itself, since it may be that for immediate purposes you do not need to consider them: but if, of course, you need to have them I can let you have them without delay. It seems, however, that the questions which are raised by the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary's Note relate more to the general issue of principle than to the circumstances of this particular case.
