4. I should therefore be grateful if you could reconsider this whole matter in the light of UKREP telegram no 5782 and this letter. I think that, in the textiles field, we should concentrate our efforts on matters where we really do appear to have a sound case and where a row with the rest of the Community is therefore justifiable. I honestly do not think that the proposals on cotton yarn represent such a case.
