Despite recent changes in the market
situation, especially the unexpectedly strong
continued demand for woven cotton and mixture
fabric, we do not think that Community attitudes
have changed essentially since our meeting with
Jones on 12 March, when we advised that the
extension to Benelux would help to reduce the
pressure and improve the tactical position.
Delay makes it progressively more difficult to
put the Community machine into reverse.
