Sir Robin Turton MP has tabled a Parliamentary
Question to the Secretary of State for oral answer on
Wednesday 28 November about what representations he
has received from the Hong Kong Government on the
effect upon their trade of the European Economic
Community's Generalised Scheme of Preferences; and what action he is taking. The Question is expected

2. Sir Robin Turton is Chairman of the Commonwealth
Industries Association and in 1962 opposed Britain's
entry into the European Economic Community. He is
likely to concentrate on the damage which he may
claim will arise for Hong Kong following upon our
accession. The supplementaries deal with this aspect.
