(ii) all members of the Hong Kong union and their
employer(s) are based in the same overseas country as the overseas union to which the Hong Kong union wishes to be affiliated;
it would not be desirable to apply (c), (d) and (e) above retrospectively to the five existing affiliations referred to at paragraphs12 and 13 (see Annex A: 2, 5, 6, 11, 15) even though two of them do not comply with (c) and (e)(i) and three of them do not comply with (e)(ii).
(The Commissioner of Labour (Mr Paul K. C. TSUI), the Registrar of Trade Unions (Mr J. R, ALLEN) and the Principal Assistant Colonial Secretary (Social Service) (Mr P. B. WILLIAMS) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item.)
