PROTECTION AGAINST ACTS OF ANTI-UNION DISCRIMINATION
1. You mentioned in Geneva that some difficulty was being experienced in the drafting of the amending legislation to provide for protection of the individual against acts of anti-union discrimination. We did not discuss the nature of the difficulties but you may find it helpful to have by you the enclosed extracts from the legislation of four territories - Bermuda, Bahamas, Fiji and Seychelles - that have made provision, in slightly differing ways, for this kind of protection. There is, of course, also section 5 of the UK Industrial Relations Act 1971, with which you are already familiar.
