All these drafts, with the exceptions of the ones to Governor Bermuda and to Bridgetown in respect of the ECCA have been cleared with or drafted by the Treasury. Clearance from the Bank of England is still awaited.

9. I am sending copies of this minute and of all the drafts to Mr Holland and lir Aust; and of the minute and the drafts which concern them to the appropriate geographical departments; and of the minute and the two drafts mentioned in para 8 above to Mr Bostock and Mr Lewis.

10.

This leaves outstanding (apart from the question of the Currency Boards other than the ECCA), the cases of Western Samoa and the "Atolls" which I shall diate pursue seperately.

P.S.

11. Since dictating the above I have been told that there is a Personal telegram in from Governor Bermuda about the sterling agreements. I think we should still send him the enquiry as to whether our proposals are acceptable in the non-personal series so that his files are straight with the Bermuda Government.

12. I have also just seen an advance copy of Dacca tel no 75 which appears to transfer Bangladesh from category (c) to category (b); I therefore

suggest that we do not say anything to them now until we have had time to study their comments.
