I am taking the liberty of writing to thank you very much indeed for giving the Reception in honour of the Heung Yee Kuk last Tuesday. All the Chinese who attended, those in the Heung Yee Kuk Delegation as well as those who are residents in this country, were greatly honoured by being invited; and the splendour of Lancaster House will have left a lasting impression which I am sure will be talked about for a long time.
May I say how very much we in the Hong Kong Government Office appreciate your thoughtfulness in giving this Reception. It has undoubtedly been the highlight of the Heung Yee Kuk's visit to Britain.
Yours ever,
School Wright
