Hong Kong, could you very kindly arrange for Class A Conference terms to bo authorised, ie the cost of room/bath, standard break- fast service and tax will exceed half of Class A subsistence. These costs to be paid by HMG (DTI) and a residual allowance of half Class A per night is paid to each concerned, Those staying at other Hong Kong hotels
(iv) I should be grateful for
instructions to cover the question of subsistence to Mrs Walker and Mrs Heseltine. Are they travelling
officially (ie has the Prime Minister authorised their journeys)?. If so, each will receive three quarters of the rate applicable to their husbands.
(v) Are the BOTB representatives
funding themselves throughout, or are any payments to be made at posts? If so, should these be charged to the DTI in the first place?
(vi) I will set out subsistence
rates in the Administrative Arrangements and ask postз to subelet on arrival,
