VISIT OF MR WALKER AND MR HESELTING TO CHINA
AND HONG KONG
MR WALKER'S VISIT TO SINGAPORE
MARCH/APRIL 1973
1.
Thank you very much for your letter of 22 February in which you outline the administrative arrangements for your Secretary of State's Visit to China and also some administrative details concerning the Hong Kong and Singapore Ministerial Visits on which you have asked Conference Section to liaise on DTI's behalf with the posts concerned. We are very glad to do anything we can to assist.
Composition of the Delegation
the table
2. A table showing the composition of the Delegation (including the FCO party) is shown at Appendix I; also shows the accommodation arrangements, with dates, for each member of the Delegation for the round trip, as I under- stand them today. I should be grateful for comments.
3. I have numbered the serials as shown in the enclosure to your letter under reference; as we have given Mrs Galsworthy (as a member of the FCO team) a serial number, I wonder if you prefer that the other wives should also have them on the Delegation lists?.
4. Paragraph 17(a)(iv) is also relevant. May I take it that the description of each Delegate and also decorations shown are correct?.
Travel
5. At Appendix II, a timetable of Delegates' travel arrange- ments is shown in chronological order; at this stage the timetable is obviously not yet complete. Again, any comments will be welcome.
