LIVING ACCOMMODATION

PARA 10: This is agreed, except that the Heseltines, Messrs Lane, Le B Jones and an escorting officer will not now require accommodation in Hangchow and will only require it in Shanghai if they arrive there on the evening of 30 March (see Para 5 above). Mr Grant does not require suites in any hotels (including Hong Kong).

7. WORKING ACCOMMODATION

PARA 11: Agreed. Mr Corley says the Embassy should be warned that there might be some requirement for dictation; either the Secretary of State or Minister might want to dictate a speech or two and possibly the odd telegram. He added that there will be secretarial assistance at the exhibition site which will, of course, cope with non-classified material.
