Mr Crowson (HKIOD) has told me that Sir John Tilney, MP, will be visiting Hong Kong, Singapore and Brunei in January and has asked for briefing from us. He was formerly a Minister at the old CRO and is a member of parliamentary groups on foreign and commonwealth affairs.
2. We are asked to produce some written briefing on Singapore and Brunei which Mr Crowson would forward to Sir John together with material on Hong Kong. The latter would subsequently like to come and talk to us about allthree territories. I should like to see suitable draft briefs by 10 December.
