Tony Royle has told me that you have very kindly offered to look after ny wife and myself when we are in Brunei on our way to liêng Kong. I have kern tuld that the Sultan is going to be kind enough to put us up, but I am by no means aurKO wist the plans are locally, and you are nich more likely to know than I on. plan to leave Singapore on Wednesday, January 9th, flight SQ456 at 0930 hours arriving in Brunei at 1155 that day, and leaving Brunei on flight CX950 at 113) on Saturday, January 12th for liong Kong.

While in Brunei I should very much like to see an oil field and could I also ment the Curkka Regiment?

I am told that the Sultan has a marvellcua collection of Churchilliman za as Chairman of the Churchill Statue Committee which has rescutly seen the 245, unveiled in Parliament Square in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen and Ikr Kinjesty The Queen Mother, I would naturally be very much interested in thas. I was at Chartwell only last Friday presenting The Book Of Hasory containing the 4,300 approximate names of subscribers beautifully inscribad.

I only hope that the flights now scheduled will not be cancelled and that also we will not moss up your plans in any way. I much look forward to rectẳng

you.
