Dame Joan Vickers wrote to Mr. Royle on 24 July enquiring on behalf of members of the Parliamentary delegation to China about accommodation for the proposed stop-over in Hong Kong.
I
We shall of course be glad to write to Hong Kong about this. However I should be grateful if you could let me know the proposed times of the delegation's arrival and departure in Hong Kong. Dame Joan also mentioned that she and Peter Tapsell do not need help with accommodation. should be grateful if you would confirm that accommodation is required for all the other members of the party. I understand that the final composition of the delegation is not yet certain. However, it would be most helpful if you . could let us know how many rooms we should ask Hong Kong to book. If the group are to spend a whole day in Hong Kong, would they like the Hong Kong Government to organise a sight- seeing tour, or any meetings or briefing?
