We are writing to the Acting Colonial Secretary telling him of your proposed visit and warning him that we shall be asking him to arrange accommodation for you. I should be most grateful if you would let us know as soon as you know whether wives will be accompanying their hunbands on the trip.
This Department will of course be
delighted to arrange a briefing for the Delegation nearer the date of your departure.
