PARLIAMENTARY VISIT TO THE SERVICES IN HONG KONG
We constantly get bleats from Hong Kong that the members of these delgations are not properly briefed, despite the oral briefing they receive from FCO officials in the MOD before they leave.
I therefore propose to send to the MOD for the delegation copies of the attached Brief, together with a copy of the Governor's speech to LegCo last October and the Hong Kong Personali- ties list. What I have
done is to up-date the
brief prepared, at Mr Royle's request, for the MP's who
visited Hong Kong at Whitsun as guests of the Hong Kong Government. Do you agree?
