Wet Weather Arrangements
Arrival
In the event of heavy rain HRH and Mr. Ogilvy will be welcomed at the aircraft by HE and Lady Mao Lehose. Those to be presented will be assembled in the large VIP room to which HE will conduct HRH and Mr. Ogilvy when they are ready.
The Acting Director of Marine and Mrs. Alexander will be presented on board "The Lady Maurine".
HRH will acknowledge salutes if conditions allow.
In the event of heavy rain the Guard of Honour will give a Royal Salute and the Band will play six bars of the National Anthem. The inspection of the Guard will be cancelled. HRH will move from the dais to the presenta- tion of guests which will be under cover.
Tunnel Company Ceremony
Should the weather be showery and a shower start within 15 minutes of the ceremony the programme will
be reversed so that the ceremony takes place at 1.45 p.m. If continuous rain is likely HRH and party will remain inside the hall of the building for the ceremony, which will take place at 12.40 p.m.
If the weather is unsuitable for flying HH and Mr. Ogilvy will leave for Fanling by car arriving at Fanling Lodge at 3.00 p.m.
Return to Government House
If the weather is unsuitable for flying HH and Mr. Ogilvy will leave Fanling Lodge by car at 2.30 p.m.
Beating of Retreat
In the event of bad weather a decision whether to cancel the ceremony will be taken not later than 4.00 p.m.
Visit to Police Headquarters
This programme needs only minor modification at the unveiling of the plaque.
