HKK 25/2

Sir L Monson

HONG KONG GOVERNMENT OPVICE LONDON

1. I have spoken to r right about the Hong Kong Government office in London.

2. The position is that ever since the reorganisation of the office in 1969 there has been a need for more accommodation. Over the years Mr right has tried to find a suitable building or alternatively a site on which the Government could build. Recently, he thought he had found something suitable but the plans fell through.

3. Their present buildings are held on a lease which expires in 1974. The search for new premises is continuing.
