6. I think we should keep at this. The Hong Kong Government

will be irritated if we do not give them the Register for which

they have asked. They will not regard it as a sufficient

reason that the transfer of the Register, of itself, is not of

great practical effect. We shall be having discussions over

the next few days with the Export side of DTI about the forth-

coming negotiations on the Mass Transit System. I think we

should try to enlist their help.
