Done

I wonder if you could convey to Mr. Lewis an assurance of my welcome and co-operation and, at the same time, inquire from him whether I can advise the Hong Kong Shipowners' Association of his forthcoming visit to Hong Kong. I happen to be chairman of a Consultative Committee relating to the employment of Hong Kong seafarers and on which are representatives of the Hong Kong Ship- owners' Association and also the Employers' Federation of Hong Kong. A normal meeting of this Consultative Committee has been arranged for Wednesday, 12th July next, and I suggest that this would be the appropriate time at which I could advise owners of Mr. Lewis' visit. I understand that Ian Price is due to return to Hong Kong on the 10th or 11th July, and if there are no objections to advising owners of Mr. Lewis' visit, then I could invite Ian Price to attend the meeting, with a view to agreeing a programme for Mr. Lewis.
