Specially-designed window displays have been mounted in City District

offices to support the extensive drive now taking place to register new Urban

Council voters.

The displays inform people where they can obtain electoral registration

forms, and also give an illustrated review of the various services for which the

Urban Council is responsible.

They have been mounted in 14 City District offices and sub-offices in

Hong Kong and Kowloon.

Identical displays are also on view at the Government Publications

Centre adjoining the Star Ferry Concourse on Hong Kong Island, and at

Beaconsfield House in Queen's Road Central where the Government Information

Services has a show window.

The progress of electoral registration is being recorded for public

view on two giant-sized barometers situated either side of the harbour.

A mobile electoral registration centre is also being manned by staff

from the Registration of Persons Department.

It began a tour of the urban areas with a seven-day stop at the

approaches to the Star Ferry on Hong Kong Island.
