KIOSKS BOOST ELECTORAL DRIVE
Two special kiosks have been brought into use to make it easier
for people to obtain forms to register as Urban Council voters.
The kiosks are sited at Statue Square on Hong Kong Island and
at the approach to the Ocean Terminal in Kowloon.
They are manned by staff from the Registration of Persons
Department who will issue electoral registration forms and deal with
inquiries from the public.
Forms are already available from a mobile registration centre
which is making a tour of the urban areas on both sides of the harbour.
They are also obtainable from Post Office inquiry counters,
City District Offices, District Offices in the New Territories, Registration
of Persons Offices, Urban Council Ward Offices and Kaifong and Rural
Committee Offices.
As part of the drive to register new voters, thousands of posters,
leaflets and car stickers on the theme "Help Run Your City" have been
distributed.
Radio' slogans, television announcements, cinema slides and window
displays at City District Offices are also being used.
