1. You asked to see the record of the call made by Colonel Stirling on Mr Amery on 16 November. This was embodied in FCO telegram No 1018 to Hong Kong, a copy of which is attached.

Colonel Stirling is an old acquaintance of Mr Amery. The telegram slightly underplays the exchange, but I got Colonel Stirling to agree the text before he left.
