record of a conversation I had with Col. Stirling (So) (your telegram 1018). He is of course a very
agreeable and personable chap, but I didn't think he showed up well on this occasion. Incidentally we happen to know that he is just about to sell out his shares in TVB, so, unless our information is completely wrong, I cannot understand what he is making so much fuss about. In any case he has no right to be so abusive of everyone in pressing his commercial interests. His chairman here, Harold Lee, was much more relaxed when I saw him ten days ago.
