EXECUTIVE COUNCIL DECISION OF 11.4.72
The Council considered memorandum XCC(72)28.
The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED:
(a) that it be agreed in principle that
Rediffusion's wired television licence be extended ad interim as proposed in paragraph 3 of the memorandum;
(b) that a public announcement be made as
soon as possible (preferably earlier than 1st May 1972) on the future of television which would include a statement on an interim extension of Rediffusion's service on the lines suggested in paragraph 4 of the memorandum;
(a) that recommendations 27 and 28 concerning
television weather programmes and recommendations 70-78 and 80-82 concerning wired television be considered in a further memorandum; and
(d) that the time-table annexed to the memorandum be reconsidered with a view to speeding up procedures wherever possible.
