I told Mr Wilford that I had only recently written to Mr Lloyd about the extension to Hong Kong of our Copyright Act of 1956 and that I thought I had better send a telegram as a follow-up to my letter asking in general terms "how things stood" in connection with the arrangements for the award of the 2 new licences. I hope we shall have a reply from Hong Kong before Mr Royle's meeting on 20 July. We shall in any event have RTV's side of the story tomorrow or at the latest on Monday. If we have received nothing from Hong Kong by then I think we should send a further telegram setting out what is worrying Rediffusion explaining that Mr Royle will be seeing 2 of the Directors on 20 July and asking for their comments in time for the meeting.
