HONG KONG SNAKE FENCE
Following the Treasury adjudication of
the dispute over payment between the Ministry
of Defence and ourselves, and the MOD's
acceptance of it, it now falls to us to write
Government
to/Hong Kong/to ask them to pay the sum of
£52,170. This is their half share of the
total cost of the Snake Fence less an amount
they have already paid.

Secretary which you might like to send yourself.
This is based partly on the previous draft
submitted with Mr Laird's minute of 13 December
1971 (which never issued), and has been drafted
in consultation with Finance Department and
Defence Department.
