Construction has started on a further expension of the Heung to Middle
School in Taipo to accommodate 1,600 pupils and the W.C.E.P.A. are
negotiating the purchase of an existing school in Wanchai to accommodate
1,700 pupils.

No detailed imformation is available at present regarding other
expansion plans for communist schools, but the following schemes have been
discussed within communist circles and any or all of them could materialise
in the medium termi-
(a) W.C.E.P.A. schools on the outskirts of the newer
resettlement cstales; possible sites are being
investigated;
(b)
a W.C.E.P.A. school in Yuen Long;
(c)
a new branch of the Heung To Middle School in Sha Tin;
(a)
a new branch of the Pui Kiu Middle School in Shaukiwan;
(e)
a commercial school sponsored by the Chinese Coneral
Chamber of Commerce, and
(f)
an expansion of the Hoi Luk Fung Public School Hong Kong.
It seems probable, therefore that within the next year the communist schools
4,000 students, bringing
