Sir Duncan Watson

Duncan

VISIT OF THE GOVERNOR OF HONG KONG

1 Sir Murray MacLehose arrives in the United Kingdom on leave on Saturday, 5 August. Mr Laird will be meeting him at the airport. The Governor will fly straight up to Scotland. He will return to London at the beginning of September and will be available in the office from Tuesday 5 to Friday 8 September; the Department is arranging his programme.

2 We have just received a letter from Sir Murray in which he says, inter alia, that he would like to see you and wonders if you would lunch with him. If it is convenient to you, we should like to suggest a talk in the office on Tuesday, 5 September at 12.15, followed by lunch.
