GOVERNOR'S VISIT

1. I am enclosing a copy of the Governor's programme for him, together with a lettor of explanation on cert in points. I also enclose a copy for your retention.

2. It would be helpful to know whether the Governor would like a car to be laid on for his use from 5 to 9 September.

3. We received a tele rum from the Governor this morning, asking us to contact Nigel Watt who is home on leave. The Governor wants to discuss urgently with him certain changes in the liong Kon Government. Information Services, and askrod if Mr Vatt would meet him at the airport on Saturday, or if he was going to be in Scotland, to meet him there. We have contacted Mr Watt, who has now left for a holiday in Sootland. I have included a note of where he can e reached in my letter to the Governor.

4. 3ir Duncan Watson would be grateful if you would giVƏ Sir Murray his "salaame" on arrival and say that Sir Duncan is very much looking forward to seeing him again at the beginning of next month.

5. Should you wish to query anything with me on Saturday, I shall be in London at the weekend (Tel No 01-228-7239).
