I spoke to you on the telephone about a car next week for the Governor of Hong Kong, Bir Murray MacLehose KCMG MB.. I should be grateful if you could arrange for a car to be at his disposal at the following times:-
Tuesday 5 September
12 30 pm
12 45 approx
3.30 pm
Wednesday 6 :eptember
11 30 am
Car to be at the main entrance Foreign Office quadrangle.
To drive ir Murray Maciehose to lunch as directed and to be available to collect him from there for his next appointment at
Call on the Governor of the Bank of Ingland (Lothbury treet entrance). Car to wait until Sir Murray returns to the Foreign Office at 4 pm.
Car to wait in the FCO quadrangle.
ir Murray will leave at approx 4 45 pm for a call at Kensington Falace. Car to remain at Kensington Palace and to proceed as directed by ir urray and to drive him at 6 30 pm to No. 21 D Cadogan Gardens until Sir Murray returns to the Athenaeum, Fall-Mall, 7.30 pm.
The car will not be required any further that evening.
Hong Kong Government office, 54 Fall Mall, to collect ir Murray at 11 45 approx. and to drive him to the Dept of Trade and Industry, Albank Tower.
