Programme
The provisional plan is that the Secretary of State should leave on 28 October and travel by RAF VC-10 via Anchorage and Shemya to Peking, stopping at Shanghai if the Chinese require it. The evening of 28 October
and the whole of Sunday, 29 October would be clear for rest and sight-seeing. 30 October-1 November would be devoted to the main programme of talks and entertainment. On the afternoon of Thursday, 2 November the Secretary of
