1 In your minute of 10 August you invited comments on your draft telegram to Peking.
2 I am content with the line proposed regarding the visit to Hong Kong, although naturally we would have liked the Secretary of State to call in at Hong Kong on both the outward and return journeys had time permitted. Miss Kelly of the department was speaking on the telephone to the Governor in Scotland this afternoon and took the opportunity of mentioning the visit to him. seemed quite happy with the programme envisaged.
