Working Accommodation
There will be
(a) The Private Office will be in the Embassy.

Common user stationery should also be supplied by the Embassy, the Private Office wil bring any special stationery with them.
Communications
(a) Telegrams
(i) The Cypher Room will maintain a 24-hour watch
during the visit.
(ii) The Embassy cypher staff will be reinforced by
one extra DWS CBO and the DWS Far East Regional Officer who will be in Peking for the visit.
(b) Telephones
The Embassy switchboard will be required to work on a 24-hour basis during the visit. direct line between
Chancery and the Government Guest House is being arranged. There will be an extension from this line to the Private Secretary's bedroom.
(c) Special Bag Services
There will be a Bag closing on Tuesday 24 October
at 1000 which arrives at Peking on Monday 30 October. It is not intended to arrange any special bag services to and from Peking or Hong Kong.
(d) Mr P H Grattan will be appointed Special Courier for the
round trip.
Security
(a)
Security Department will brief the Party before they leave the UK.
(b) A suite of boxes for safe-hand duties, plus 4 keys
and a strong box for the Guest House will be provided by Security Department to go out on the aircraft.
(b) The RMP Detachment will be responsible for providing a
24-hour safe-hand service between the Embassy and the Guest House. A car will be required for this duty.
