market is declining (since 1968 it has stagnated at between
9% and 8). A major Fritish Industrial Exhibition, at which
some 160 ritish firms are represented, opens today in Hong
Kong and is an important and integral part of a new promotional
effort we are making to revorse this trend in the face of
fierce competition mainly from Japan and the United States.
