Transport Arrangements to RAF Brize Norton

These are given at Appendix II. Passengers should report to the Air Terminal where a Duty Air Movements Officer will be on duty.

Secretary of State's arrival at RAF Leuchars

The Secretary of State and Lady Douglas-Home will arrive at Leuchars sometime after 2300 hrs and will be directed to the Station Commander's Residence. The Station Commander (Group Captain M JE Swiney, RAF, OBE) will have already invited. Sir Denis & Lady Greenhill, Mr Wilford and Mr Acland to his Residence. After dropping the Secretary of State the chauffeur will take the luggage to the Guard Room where RAF Police will arrange for it to be taken to the aircraft.

Passports etc

Those travelling are asked to ensure that they have passports and health certificates with them.

Personal Baggage

(a) Those joining the aircraft at RAF Brize Norton are asked

to leave their personal baggage at the Main Entrance to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Downing Street (West) by not later than 1630 hours on 27 October when it will be collected and escorted to Brize Norton by one of the RMP Detachment. y baggage left after this time runs the risk of being left behind.

(b) All baggage must be unlocked or, if locked, the keys

must be attached to the suitcase; this is to facilitate any search by the RF Security Team.

Baggage Labels

(a)

Labels for the UK-Peking leg were issued with the Administrative Arrangements. Labels for the remainder of the journey will be issued by the Conference Officer
