An anti-Vietnam war demonstration held out- side the United States Consulate-General organised by a dissident British expatriate.

A Tiao Yu Tai demonstration held outside the City Hall, Central, organised by the "'70's Bi-Weekly" editors. Twelve arrests were made in dispersing this demonstration and demonstrators then continued the demonstration outside the United States Consulate-General.

In the evening a forum was held at the Caritas Centre, Boundary Street, Kowloon, on the Tiao Yu Tai issue organised by the "H.K. Protection of Tiao Yu Tai Action Committee". Afterwards participants went to the Chancellor Store, Nathan Road, Mongkok, and attempted to dissuade shoppers from buying Japanese goods.

Student teachers of the three colleges of education present a petition to Government House on the proposed new Government teachers' salaries.

A picnic/demonstration organised by the "H.K. Protection of Tiao Yu Tai Action Committee" in the New Territories.

Student teachers at the three colleges of education stage a four day boycott of classes in protest against new Government wage proposals but the boycott ends after one day because they have to sit exams or risk failing their course.

Demonstrators led by the editors of the "'70's Bi-Weekly" visited the Japanese Consulate-General and handed in a letter protesting against Japanese claims to the Tiao Yu Tai. They then demonstrated on the same issue outside the United States Consulate-General.

The Hong Kong Federation of Students held a demonstration on the Tiao Yu Tai issue in Victoria Park. No permission had been obtained from the Urban Council and the demonstration was illegal. 21 demonstrators were arrested by Police for unlawful assembly and assault on Police.
