In the circumstances, you may like to reply to the letters which you have received by sending their authors copies of the Acting Commissioner for Resettlement's letter and by saying that arrests were only made when demonstrators who were causing obstruction in a public thoroughfare by an unlawful assembly ignored repeated Police warnings to disperse. You may like to add that all those arrested were taken to Court, and that their ringleaders were bound over by the Court in the sum of $500 for one year.
