IMMIGRATION ORDINANCE 1971
1. We are advised that the Ordinance does not appear
to give full effect to Ministers' wishes as conveyed
in paragraph 4 of FCO telegram number 628 and as
agreed in paragraph 3 of your telegram number 648.
Namely, it does not provide for reference to a
Deportation Tribunal in cases involving the
deportation of any (repeat any) citizen of the UK
and Colonies.
2. The amendments proposed in paragraphs 4 and 5 of
your telegram number 722, to which Ministers agreed
in FCO telegram number 740 did not relate to this
question.
